Ter-Mer Rodriguez Association supported TEXFAD to conduct a skills training in banana fiber extractor machine fabrication, banana fiber extraction, hand weaving and banana fiber handicrafts production in Rodrigues Island, Mauritius. The islanders can now add value to the banana stems that lie in the gardens as waste and earn more from bananas. ...

TEXFAD in partnership with UMOJA AFRICA- France successfully developed a biodegradable canvas shoe made from banana fiber fabric. The full production will roll out soon....
